After an earthquake changed his perception of the world at age 5, Matty started taking pictures with 35mm still cameras and flipping through them like stop motion movies. He constantly wrote and created stories in his rural California town until he got his hands on a cheap video camera that thrusted him into filmmaking and telling his stories visually. Through being poor he had to get creative on how to make his low quality pieces pop and developed a unique style of shooting and editing that has been imitated over and over again. He continues to write and film constantly to hone in on his craft and make his stories come to life.
